How it works
You will be asked to complete a comprehensive initial intake form. Afterwards, you will be taken into a room with one of your Doctors of Acupuncture to discuss your health concerns.
Treatment commences with hair-thin, sterile single-use disposable needles. The needles are inserted at various points along the body's meridian system and/or specific muscles to help remove blockages contributing to the body's pain or ailments. The patient relaxes to enable the free flow of energy to the affected areas. If necessary, additional treatment methods such as cupping, gua sha or moxibustion may be administered.
Acupuncture treatments are performed to treat many different conditions. Please visit our FAQ section for a list of just some conditions acupuncture treats. The treatments helps to regulate the body functions, remove blockages and improve overall health. Acupuncture assists the body to self-heal.

Cupping
cupping only Session: $60
The Process
Cupping is an ancient practice performed in many parts of the world.
Cupping can be performed without acupuncture for patients who do not want treatment with needles. The cupping method involves placing glass cups on the back or other areas of the body.
Before placing the cups, a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol is lit on fire, briefly introduced inside the glass cup and removed to create a small vacuum effect when placed on the skin. The vacuum, created by the cooling of the hot air and gases inside the cup, draws the skin into the cup and creates a seal. If oil has been applied, the cups can be moved around the patient's body along the muscles, meridians or at specific points.
Cupping can be used to alleviate pain, detoxify the body, to help “release” a cold, cough or fever from the body or for use with improving fertility results.

Weight Loss
6 Week Weight Loss Program: $675*
Includes 6 weekly acupuncture treatments, weight loss e-stim protocol, ear seeds, dietary / lifestyle guidance plus starter herbs or supplements customized to the patient.
Initial Consultation for Ear Seeds Only: $80
Follow-up Ear Seeds Only Visits: $40
10 Week Follow-up Ear Seeds Program: $300 (1 application per week)
Our Services
While it is our recommendation that for weight loss, a regular acupuncture treatment should be booked, not simply ear seeds, we have decided to create this affordable option for those who insist that they only want ear seeds. Ear seeds are adhered onto auricular points which are chosen specific to the patient to aid in weight loss. These points are typically used to help control appetite, reduce stress and anxiety, balance hormones and aid in digestion.
For weight loss, ear seeds are normally placed in the ears at the end of a full-body acupuncture treatment. The seeds can help with anxiety and also for appetite control. A full acupuncture treatment with our weight loss e-stim protocol would more efficiently help to balance the body and address the underlying issues causing weight gain, such as stress, depression, anxiety or hormonal imbalances. As part of the initial visit we discuss diet, exercise and possible recommendations for weight-loss herbs and supplements.
*For the 6 week program, the maximum amount of time allotted for the use of your treatments in the program is 3 months. Payment in full is due when starting any program.24 hours notice is required for any scheduling changes or cancellations otherwise you will be charged for the visit. Please review our cancellation policy—it is strictly enforced.

Cosmetic Acupuncture
Single Session Facial Rejuvenation treatment: $150
Package of 10 Facial Rejuvenation treatments: $1,250* (a $250 savings)
A minimum of 10 sessions is recommended for best results. Noticeable results are typically seen after 4-6 visits.
Facial Acupuncture
Facial Acupuncture, also known as Facial Rejuvenation or cosmetic acupuncture, is a painless, non-surgical method to lessen the appearance of fine lines as well as deeper wrinkles.
Although facial acupuncture can sometimes be referred to as an 'Acupuncture Facelift’, it is more than a cosmetic procedure. It is a revitalization process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger. A constitutional acupuncture treatment is given in order to help balance the patient, and very small facial acupuncture needles are inserted into the areas of concern on the face and neck. In addition, other techniques are used to help stimulate blood flow to the face and neck. An increased presence of blood and qi helps to stimulate the production of collagen.
The skin appears more youthful, hydrated and with better tone, noticeably reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. If desired, we will also recommend herbal supplements as well as diet and lifestyle changes in order to support the effectiveness of the treatments.

1 Month Auricular Only Acupuncture Program with Initial: $515* ($150 savings)
1 Month Auricular Only Acupuncture Program without Initial: $500* ($150 savings)
The Program
This treatment can be used for any type of addiction or addictive behavior. The ear points we use for any addiction treatment are based on the highly effective National Acupuncture Detoxification Association’s (NADA) auricular protocol. There are five points which have been proven to reduce anxiety, help control cravings, assist with detoxification, address the fear associated with quitting and calm down the sympathetic nervous system. This program is designed to be used over a short period of time because this is how it is most effective.
For the program, you will receive 3 auricular acupuncture treatments per week for weeks 1 & 2, followed by 2 treatments per week for weeks 3 & 4*. Treatment times are typically 20 minutes long (but may run longer). At the end of each auricular treatment, you will be sent home with ear seeds taped onto your ears, therefore your body will be receiving some level of treatment throughout the entire month. We may also recommend herbal supplements to support the effectiveness of the treatments. After the completion of the 1 month program, it may be beneficial to continue with single visits but at a reduced frequency.
* This is a 1 month program and the time will not be extended.

Frequently Asked Questions
GENERAL
-
Acupuncture is a healing modality that dates back over 2,000 years. It is based upon the idea that we have a system of pathways of energy that moves through the body. These energy pathways are connected to our physical body. When this flow of energy is running smoothly, we have health and wellness. At times, we develop blockages and imbalances in this energy system from any number of physical and/or emotional factors. When these blockages or imbalances occur, we present with symptoms.
Once the acupuncturist determines where these blockages are, hair-thin sterile disposable needles are inserted at various points along the meridian system and/or specific muscles to help remove the blockages and reestablish the free flow of energy. The needles are then typically left in the body for 20-45 minutes.
Acupuncture also has a unique approach to healing in that treatments are tailored to the individual and their level of imbalance. The focus is not on treating a disease but rather how symptoms manifest in a particular person, so that healing can occur at all levels of the body, mind and spirit.
-
Most patients find that acupuncture treatments are comfortable and enjoyable. The thin stainless steel disposable needles rarely cause discomfort, and generally result in a feeling of peacefulness and relaxation. In our clinic, it is very common for patients to fall asleep during treatment. Some people feel energized after the treatment, while others may wish to rest. Many notice both symptoms and energy improving immediately after or in the days following treatment.
-
During your first visit with us, we have a consultation with you and go over your current health concerns as well as your pertinent health history. This gives you the opportunity to express any concerns or questions you may have. There is a thorough traditional diagnosis, which consists of looking at the tongue, taking your pulse, and asking specific questions to get to the root of your current imbalance. After this, we proceed to the treatment area where you are needled by the acupuncturist. A typical treatment can last from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the condition being treated.
It is important however to remember that acupuncture is a process, and one which usually takes multiple treatments to help most conditions. This could be anywhere from 1-12 treatments depending on your constitution and the conditions being treated, at an interval of 1-3 visits per week in most cases. In general, acute conditions are quicker to treat than long-standing chronic conditions. A treatment plan is recommended to you during the initial intake. On subsequent visits, we do a quick check-in to see how you've been feeling since the previous treatment, and if anything new has come up which needs to be addressed. We always check your tongue and pulse for changes. This gives us valuable information as to how you are responding to treatments.
-
It is good to have something to eat about an hour before your treatment.
Wear comfortable clothes that allow access to areas below the elbows and knees.
We ask that you refrain from wearing any perfumes or scented oils within the clinic. Many patients, including pregnant women and those undergoing radiation and chemotherapy are very sensitive to fragrances.
Silence is golden! Keep in mind that there will be others in the rooms nearby receiving treatments. Please turn your cell phones off when entering the clinic and be respectful of those around you who have come to relax and renew as you have.
If possible, set aside time after your treatment to rest. We do not recommend heading straight to the gym after acupuncture.
